Normal Palace Chase; serve 2/3 of your original commitment and then get a Reserve/Guard job offer. Palace Front; no idea, isn't that when you get out when your commitment is up?

Basically...you are eligible if you are NOT a pilot and have between 12 and 15 years AND have a quota on the matrix. Why even include the 11s and 12s on the matrix then? Thats the first thing everyone looks at.

Nice lump of cash for whoever does take it...a Maj with 12 years in gets $190,000 after taxes.

still not worth it for those Majors though....unless they're doing an airline gig

What a bunch of BS from AFPC...they are now showing my AFSC (11B) to be manned at -178. Before this matrix it was -79. Translation, we're short "bodies" for BS tours like ALO, UAV, etc. So we are short an additional 100 bodies in a couple of months...don't think so! The AF is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO broken. I'm off to Seattle to be a Group/XP officer (BS ALO gig) for two years. I hope FY09 will give me some hope as I'll have completed about 65% of my UPT commitment.

Sounds like you just did a 180 in Southwest Asia...that'll definitely bring ya down. I know a lot of guys who are getting these UAV an ALO assignments. At least I'm slotted to go to UPT next. Deploying blows.

Is it just me, or is this matrix the same one that's been posted since July? The one I am looking at says the updated matrix is "Coming Soon"

Pretty sure it's the same matrix, you can right click the banner to remove it too though. They also have the countdown of VSP slots on the VSP section of the page, be real interesting to see how quickly they count down. I expect an update to the VSP program mid year when they don't get the numbers. I was likely planning on leaving late next summer anyhow, so that still gives me until the next program is offered.
