I agree with the two of three philosophy (Airline, ANG, family). As an ANG fighter guy, the 8/6 sorties a month is a minimum and we used to ask for 6 full days of availability from dudes for their sorties and all the other duties/training. That also gives some slop for wx cnx's and other contingencies. Considering they're on the road with the airline for 12-16 days a month, that's a busy bro. That doesn't leave much time for Mama for a typical airline dude. However, I've seen more than afew guys seemingly pull it off.
