The 90 hours of turbine time you get in the T-6 program is minuscule to the amount of time it's going to take to get a job with an airline, unless of course you were a FAIP or an IP and have a few thousand hours in it. None the less, there are fighter pilots who've spent their whole careers flying single engine turbine jets who get jobs with the airlines just like anyone else. I don't think it will hurt you and given the fact the airlines tend to like military types due to all the formal training we go through, you'll be fine.

FR8Hauler's right. If you fancy a job at FedEx or UPS, go fly multi-turbine somewhere. T-6 time is just like T-34 time--single-engine turboprop. Look into flying the T-44 with the Navy in Corpus--much more relaxed atmosphere than the T-37 or T-1 with the USAF. That having been said, the Texan is a complete blast, and JetBlue, Continental, et. al., seem to be perfectly happy with turbine PIC of any kind as long as you've got 1,000 hrs total time in aircraft over 20,000 lbs or jets over 12,000. Plenty of former Herc drivers flying the Texan down here in Pensacola too.
