As far as the CG transition goes< I think that there is a low age limit that must be met. By the time one fulfills their winging committment they may be on the verge or past that requirement. But look into it. I would get the ATP when I could. Many of the "major" interviews these days seem to be going more "tell me about a time" questions then technical. You will get gouged up before a specific company interview anyway. Also, whatever you do, do a flying tour as your last tour before retiring. Recent currency is everything and two or three years out of the cockpit may kill you. Also, start your contact list now of guys who are out or getting out and want to fly commercial. Keep in contact with them periodically and do not **** any of them off if you an help it. You may have three or more guys at a company saying you are the cat's meow but if one guy says your bad news then "no hire for you, two weeks!" Good luck

P3bubba,
I was in VP-26 from 2000-2003. Did a Sigonella deployent, and a SOuth Com, Kef deployment one a year later. VP-26 at the time was the best squadron in the VP navy due to the front office. They let the JO's run the squadron (in a sense) and moral was high. I am actually in Greenwood Nova Scotia on a PEP tour. Flying the Aurora (Canadian P-3) as an instructor and love it. If you guys don't know about PEP tours send me your e-mail so I can tell you guys about it. I need a replacement for this November 06 |
I got to 26 in May of 06'. Puffy?
|
May of 03', sorry.
