I pretty much agree with what everyone is saying here. I only have a couple of months left and no calls so far. The only reason my mind is at ease is knowing I have that reserve job to fall back on. Whatever you do make sure you continue in the guard/reserve. Only .02 worth giving

Plus retirement points and medical benefits. The med benefit alone is worth $1996 a quarter as that is how much it would cost you to pay for tricare, which you can do for three years after you get out. That may sound like alot but check out comparible coverage elsewhere. People dog tricare until their out then they realize its not that bad after all. If one knows how to use it then it is great with few hassles.

True, true. If a bill is ever passed that lowers our retirement age those man days will come in handy. One good thing (the only good thing, really) about my furlough is I have 720 days of man days from activation and another 1.5 years from bumming it.

I really appreciate everyone's inputs and thank you to those of you who played "devils advocate". I too play that role now and then which is why I've been having such a hard time "deciding". I have just started to submit résumé’s and will wait and see. I also have a reserve position pretty much locked in but will look into different airframes. Again, thank you for your insight and best of luck to those of you who are in the same boat as I.
