Heard in Group level briefing that inbounds will replace outbounds on a 1 for 2 basis starting..well..now. Also, rated staff positions will be filled at an unbelieveable 3%. Don't know how they're going to pull that one off. They were asking reservists how many takers they would get on up to 4 years of voluntary active duty status. Weren't we just paying people to leave? Im shocked. (not)

The Reservists here at KCBM were asked the same question last week. They wanted to know who would be interested in continuous orders for anywhere between 180 days to 5 years.

Yes, among other things. I think the jist of the matter is that there may exist a real need, either now or in the future, for reservists to fill positions that may otherwise go unfilled by the active duty. In my opinion, there may be opportunities to do all kinds of stuff.

would they be interested in hiring from MWS platforms to send through PIT?

Who is making the deals? I would come to do the IP stuff (if 5 year AD tours could be had) and leave the C-17 for guys that need heavy time.

I'd be interested too....been to both T-37 and T-1 PIT, and would be interested in coming back and finishing my 20....only need 4 years.
