Manas to close?????

On my last deployment there, Manas was a cash cow for the country. They charged for every flight plan filed, parking was crazy expensive etc. I haven't heard anything so might just be a bargaining ploy by the government to extort more money.

Didn't we go thru this a couple years ago? They threatened to close Manas down, and relented when we offered to pay more. Supply and demand. Or extortion, whichever you wish to call it.

Basically the Russians are paying off the Kyrgs to throws us out. Article I read said the Russians were offering the 300 million in aid.... and on the same day the Kyrgs announced they would not renew the lease agreement....imagine that.
