Default What kind of luggage do you use????

Just had quick question for everyone. I have now destroyed three bags in 2 years flying FRED and wanted to get other people's take on what kind of luggage they used.

Cheers!

Anything from land's end. The worldwide traveler I bought a decade ago came with a lifetime guarantee, I'm on my forth one. -

You might look at the PNT line that many airline guys use...built like a tank...steel, kevlar, and all black.

At the risk of being naive...what's wrong with the A-3 bag? I did A-10 demo for two years (1992-1993) and stuffed it into a travel pod every weekend. Snagged it on the pod door many times and it survived unscathed. While I don't go TDY as often as I did then, I'm still using the same A-3 bag. It's a bit old and faded but still does what it was designed for. I think it was issued to me during UPT (1984)!

Because it doesn't have wheels. You gonna lug a flight kit and up to 2 weeks of clothes around carrying an A-3 bag? Have fun.

helmet bag, pubs, a, b, c, and sometimes d bag, cooler, laptop back pack, xbox, 13" TV, and biggest duffel bag with wheels that I can find for three weeks of clothes and matching shoes. - What a life we lead

Guess I'm a sucker for punishment. I've been lugging it for 25 years. Or maybe my wardrobe/flight kit isn't very extensive.

We talking airline trips or mil TDY's? I'm with ya on the latter, not so much on a UPS 10+ day trip.

Spend about 2 days as an AMC pilot dragging bags all over gods creation, up stairs and ladders and maybe, just maybe the occasional elevator, and across the rocks at the Deid, and out to the jet only to break and drag them back to the car and then back to the sqaudron and you will want 1. The biggest bag you can find 2. The lightest bag you can find 3. WHEELS.

I had a bag that was no kidding made by Hummer! Picked it up at the Rhein-main bx for like 30 bucks, still could use it today but have a squadron issue which is doing pretty good so far.
