Interesting. Begs the question.....what is the minimum to safely execute the demo?

Supposedly, the Marine Corps fleet is going to see flight hour budgets cuts in the $300-500 millions. I know CNATRA is cutting at least $5mil for FY10. Going to get real lean soon.

Since the financial justification for the blues is recruiting, I can see a cutback due to the economy and improved retention.
However...seems like they should cut the show schedule instead of training. Fly fewer shows but retain the proper level of safety. |

Thats what they(Big Navy) did with the TACDEMO program for this year, cut about 40% of the shows out. I read yesterday in the Pensacola News Journal that the Blues were back on for their Tuesday practices so,....who knows. |
Maybe they will start offering rides at $10,000 a pop to pay for gas like the Rooskies did. That was the only way they could get flight time in.
