Taking the AF BAT test

Since I live in New Jeresey, and the ANG unit that I'm applying to does NOT run the BAT test, I was wondering if anyone had an idea of where I can take this test? I need to take it in the next few weeks, and will be taking the AFOQT, so these two will give me, along with my flight hours my PCSM score. Thanks for any info. Since I'm WANTING, and being optimistic about getting an A-10 slot

Would any one care to read over my "Why I want to fly the A-10" essay?

Play the game with a local active duty recruiter. Tell them that you are looking for a AD pilot slot. They will schedule the medical prescreening, AFOQT, and BAT test for you.

This doesn't answer your question, but the BAT is no longer offered, the new test is known as the TBAS.

The recruiters will not allow me to take any tests until I have my degree completed in December. Just seeing if there is an alternate way to do this with out going to a Recruiter, but I'm definitely interested in driving the hawg AD.

There are only a couple places near New Jersey that offer the TBAS. I tried to take mine at McGuire but the person who does the test never responded to calls or emails mine or my recruiters. I took mine down at Dover. It was very easy to schedule there. I have the number for the person who does the test at Dover.

Some of the phones on that site are wrong.

Since I'm almost done with my CFI and have under 400 hrs, am I likely to score well on the TBAS? I'm worried about this one since there is no way to prepare for it.

I just took it yesterday and its not too difficult. Legally I can't tell you whats on it but it does require a certain level of hand-eye coordination. If you play video games at all that might help. Just try your best. If you've already taken the AFOQT than you should get your PCSM score pretty quickly. I took the AFOQT 2 weeks ago, took the TBAS yesterday and had my score PCSM score this morning (96 out of 99! :D) Anything over 200 flight hours also helps your score quite a bit. Get a good nights sleep, eat a good breakfest, and good luck!

Why is that every base in my area that I try to call to schedule the TBAS has their mail box full and will not answer the phone? It's a bit frustrating to try to get this taken care of.

It took me 113 days to get paid for the trip down to San Antone for my flight physical.
