Boeing today unveiled a new F-15 prototype aimed at the international market with such "fifth-generation" add-ons as radar absorbent coatings, internal weapons carriage and integrated digital avionics, plus featuring a distinctive V-tail. http://www.boeing.com/news/releases/...028-193_lg.jpg What are the odds that this thing will wind up in our inventory, given how the F-35 and F-22 have been going? |

Slim to none, unless they can pocket enough senators and congressmen. |
My understanding is that this is targeted for the export market... relatively cheap 4-1/2 generation fighter. There is no DoD money programmed for the R&D.

Seeing how bad our government is in debt, I say that there is a very high likelihood that this could be in our arsenal.
The enemy isn't going to beat us with superior technology. They are going to do it with cheap, mass produced, throw away fighters. |

It'd be nice, but not likely. I'd settle for an upgraded RWR...
