Boeing Tanker

For your consideration.

Boeing - Tanker

very nice.

I'll take one of each.

Can I trade in a KC-135 (Cash for Clunkers?)

I know the KC-10 is a pretty heavy airplane....but how would having a big fat 777 weighing over 600k affect the little guys trying to suckle off of it? I'd hate to get caught in that wake.

Otherwise, the KC-67 with winglets looks pretty cool.

Hmm, there's a joke here somewhere... I just can't put my hands on it.

There are 747 tankers and they work just fine. The receivers stay below the wake of the tanker.

The big question I have is after watchng the "Boom operator" video, you can see lights shining down on the receiver aircraft. Is this necessary for the RARAO boom station / cameras? And if so, is this setup NVG compatible?
