Form 8 = Flight Review?

With the FAA allowing us to use our 1042's as a medical, I was wonding if anyone knew if our Form 8 would satisfy a civilian flight review?

How long have we been able to use our 1042 to satisfy the FAA medical? Is this written anywhere?

Pretty sure it will only satisfy a 3rd class medical.
