Not sure about the AF portal, but it seems now that access to the Army AKO is restricted from wireless access.
That's nice........considering it's the only internet access that I have in my CHU!
I'm sure they'll come up with something else to **** me off about soon and I'll forget about this one.

A few weeks ago I messed up my MyPay account's password, so I filed on line for a new one, which came in the mail about a week later. Then while typing in this new password, which I'm quite sure I entered properly, the damn thing locked me out again. So here I sit, anxiously awaiting my new new password. I'll get some 12 year old neighborhood kid to come by and get me into the system, once the password arrives.

There are already military software programs which reject pattern passwords. It is really annoying trying to figure out a password that doesn't violate a pattern, yet has two numbers, two letters, upper and lower case, and two symbols.
In all my new passwords, I name call and use profanity against the comm guys.
For example .. Ih8Comm*ussies2!
It's the little victories that count.
One last thing, it is a lot of fun when you lock yourself out, and they ask you your old password over the phone.

The thing that kills me is that the AF Portal used to be a single-point logon to access all the crap that you have to remember but only use one login. Now you can only get into the AF Portal with a CAC (I'm another dedicated Mac user at home -- who needs webmail anyway?) and you still have to remember logins and passwords for a gazillion other websites that I only visit once ever 365 days or within 90 of a deployment.
It seems like these things are on a 4-5 year cycle. We'll have to deal with this until we AFSO21 the stupid thing and go back to the way we used to do it.
