I'm not saying don't pursue it if you want it, just that it's a likely cause as to why Blue 21 went away.

Coastie Pilot, it's a little off subject, but what's a typical patrol day like and what kind of missions does the HU-25 FLY? Do you back up rescue missions, or do any border patrol? Sharp looking airplane, btw. Always liked those. Thanks!

In a nutshell, search and rescue is the priority mission. The HU-25 is used to locate targets in the water and then conduct aerial deliveries of rescue gear (dewatering pumps, life rafts, EPIRB's).

Other missions are law enforcement (both migrant interdiction and counter drug ops) and maritime security patrols. We don't typically do border patrol, CBP has that one covered.

It's a great airplane with great versatility.

I guess they like to hire from within, and if they have enough applicants come through OCS and make it through to a pilot slot they will do away with the Blue-21 route.

man that guy really did you dirty, I just submitted my packet for Blue 21.

You have to do your own leg work my friend. Don’t stop with one phone call.

I wasn’t wrong or joking. Sorry , it should be easier. PC also plays in.
