Question about Army Reserve

Got a quick question about the Army Reserve. I have searched before wether or not it was possible to join the reserves and go directly to flight school after basic., or I guess you could say enlist with the guarantee of WOFT. I had very mixed replies, but was recently searching the net again and found this link. It looks to me like this is the kind of program is what I was looking for, but being as I have no proir military experience, I was hopin some of you guys that had been in could tell me if youve ever heard of this program before, and If one could still enlist under this program. Thanks alot! United States Military Information

You can get a guaranteed flight slot off the street, where you either come in as a WO or get it after some basic training. You must meet all of the WO and flight requirements. IIRC you need two years of college or something along those lines.

If the average recruiter down at the strip mall is trying to get you to enlist with promises of getting into flight training, better read the fine print carefully. He is probably BSing you.

I suspect they have special recruiters for that program, you need to find one.

Here's another link with some info:

https://forums.goarmy.com/forums/index.jspa

Scroll down to the "Army Jobs" section and look for "Transportation & Aviation" Once in there look for the thread: 'Warrant Officer Flight Training - ask your questions here.' It has over a thousand posts and is 72 pages last I looked.

If you can't find an answer there, PM and I'll try to give you a steer.

Good Luck.
