Default P-3 Low over the rose bowl

hey there,

Does anybody know what the P-3 was over Pasadena during the week, wed june 16.

It appeared to be covered with extra stuff - a bowl under the belly housing a radar I guess and aerials all over it?

Sounds like an EP-3E. We didn't have enough money or airframes to do cool stuff like that when I flew em. Guess the situation has improved.

That looks very similar.

I think the tail stinger is a bit different to the pic but same radome underneath plus the one I saw had a huge array of aerials sticking out of the wing LE.

It was flying around on sunday again. Would it be used for geo survey work?

Keep asking questions and men with black suits are going to find you!

There is at least one Navy P-3 which was modified for geo-survey work, and has been used for that purpose.

Wow, either it's inverted or the engines are on upside down.
