Post 9/11 with housing allowance

Looking at the new version of the Post 9/11 GI Bill. And seeing the following,

If you are enrolled in any degree program that consists of flight training at a public Institution of Higher Learning you can be reimbursed up to the resident in-state cost of the training and will be eligible to receive your housing allowance and the books & supplies stipend.
If you are enrolled in any degree program that consists of flight training at a private Institution of Higher Learning you can be reimbursed up to the full cost of the training or $17,500 per academic year, whichever is less. You will also be eligible to receive your housing allowance and the books & supplies stipend.

I'm looking for a school that would fit the bill for this part of the program. I've been going to a local Community College and am about done with my AS. Like "everybody else" My dream is the Airline Pilot gig. But I would be very happy in any job that allowed me to fly. Aviation-wise I'm starting from a slate of no License. Though I took lessons way way back... when I was in High School, mowing lawns so I could fly an hour a month. Managed to get about 40 hours logged, but had my storage disappear on me when I was deployed one year and with it went my logbook.

Does anybody have some guidance to offer on the schools available. I know the key for getting the housing allowance is going to be a physical campus to attend classes at. If I needed to I could go anywhere to do it, but near Houston or in Texas would be best. I've been looking at one school in Waco, I wrote them a message but I'm still waiting a reply.

I know here in Norfolk, VA you can go to Hampton University, also Ohio State has a flight program. Lots of state schools have them. Just finding one in your area is the trick.

For them to qualify, they used to have to be part 141. Not all state schools or other flight schools were. Not sure now.

Thanks for the tip Duksrule. It seems several of the Smaller Texas 2 year schools have flight programs. Hoping I can find a 4 year that does too. A&M has a 4 year program but it requires taking the flight portions at other schools... still looking...

to the OP check with the school, just not online. Hampton U here in VA doesn't have their own planes. They use the FBO at the local airport which is a 141 school. Hampton pays the FBO directly though so all of your tuition fees for flight are paid directly to Hampton U. There was rumor before the law changed that unless the school operated their own it wouldn't qualify. I know for a fact that Hampton uses the FBO and I know for a fact the VA is currently paying for people in the flight program. They have a 4 year degree in Aviation Education. I know this doesn't help out in TX but if they are doing it I am sure many other schools are too.
