Great advice. Thanks everyone. What about vehicles...bring one, or buy some temps? What about housing... would you recommend on/off base, how about schools on/off base? How well did your HHG's fare from the OS moves? Is fuel rationed?

This next one is going to sound wierd...but does anyone know if you can hunt there (Ger)?

Off base your kids, under about 9 yrs old, will speak German like Germans after 1-2 yrs. On base? Never.

On base is probably easier to adjust.
