Ex-Marine to fly his personal Harrier jet at the Atlantic City Airshow - pressofAtlanticCity.com: Atlantic County News
That title isn't going to garner the newspaper any applause from former Marines  (and I hope he actually says something to the reporter/editors); but I'm glad that some entrepreneur has taken the reins and moved forward. |
I want one.

I never would have guessed you could buy a Harrier at the Army/Navy store. Can I get my very own A-10 as well? :p

The US at one point banned the resale or ownership of surplus fighters, I think there are a few A-4's, A-6's and maybe even a viper or hornet that got out of the barn before the law was passed, but no more. This guy bought the harrier from the OK, so the US law doesn't apply apparently. But he couldn't buy or own a surplus US harrier today. |
Good lord, I wonder what the mx bill runs him annually...

Saw that dude fly at OSH a few years ago. LOUD!
Fuel costs? He was taking donations at the end of his routine. |
