Default Getting an FC1 Medical for an interview

I was just wondering if anyone knows how it looks to not have a FC1 medical but still flying for the military when you do your application?

It looks like you are not serious about applying.

EXACTLY !!!! hahaha

If you don't put forth 110% effort in trying to get a job, it will never happen.

The applications that I filled out didn't ask if you have a military flight physical, but rather a 1st Class (or 2d class for the contract job) FAA physical. The differences between the two don't matter.

It shows that you don't have the required certificates to be offered a job. Save yourself the grief and get 'er dun.

Worse, applications today are scored by a computer. If you don't have that box checked, it probably moves on to another candidate, or it scores you application lower.

Do everything you can to check all the boxes and answer all the questions.

I would expect to never get get called for an interview unless that box is checked. Your app would be scored by the computer as not meeting minimums for employment.

They're only valid for 6 mos, so don't worry about getting it until you are ready to "check the box." If you pass a mil flight physical, the First Class physical is a breeze.

Mostly agree but understand a military medical waiver doesn't carry over to the FAA. Separate bureaucratic entities, the FAA takes just about as long. Plan ahead.
