Default Maine Air National Guard "MAINEiacs" hiring p

Just trying to get the word out ASAP that the MAINEiacs have immediate openings for pilot positions (3 UPT slots for FY15). Currently interviewing qualified applicants. Deadline of 07 Dec 13, but immediate email to SQCC requested (Lt Col Brent Stewart): [email protected] to get the ball rolling.

Prior Active Duty applications are accepted and preference given to WIC grads in the KC-135R.

Good Luck

How much consideration does your unit give to AD pilots from other MAF aircraft?

Previous -135 experience is not required.

A strong desire to live in the New England area (think the closer to Bangor the better) would be considered a plus.

Helo guy with 10 ME hours. Can I fly for you or should I try to get the Navy reserves to keep me? I at least have a strong desire to live in New England.

It would almost be worth it just to be able to get my hands on the stickers.....

Does the ANG have the 37" (or something in that area) waist rule like AD USAF where if you are over X inches around the waist, you fail, regardless of bodyfat?

(I'm 6'5"/270#, at about 19%BF, even at 14% I still have a 40 inch waist)

I do know the local to me ANG unit looked at me like I came from Mars when I showed up to rush the unit. My BIL is a C-5 FE and he knows the waist measurement got more than a few IST potentials in his unit.

Flew H-60s and E-2s, Aircraft Commander in both. According to the Naval Reserve I'm allegedly a Lt. Commander but refuse to act like one.

(me and another guy close to my size in a Seminole today, was hilarious to say the least)

ANG has the same PT test rules as the active duty.
Air Force Personnel Center - AF Fitness Program

We have former helo guys flying in the unit.

Hiring bonus: you get an extra patch on your flight suit in addition to stickers.
