LOL That diagram made me spit my coke through the nose. What a Rube Goldberg POS....Hey, it's all about jobs jobs jobs these days.

That's not Rube Goldberg.

You want to see Rube Goldberg, take a look inside and E-2C or C-2A, especially with the rudder system and pitch feel system.

All twin rotor helicopter save Syncromesh and Coaxial have some form of Sync-Shaft that keep the two rotors synchronized and powered.

Granted, sync isn't a big deal on the V-22, but keeping both sides powered is.

You should see the rods and bell cranks inside an H-46 flight control cabinet.

Can imagine. I've flown one once, and my best friend still flies them with HMM-774 in Norfolk.

I've been trying to scam another ride since he went there as a reservist.

I would like to know the person who designed the gear box on the TU-95 Bear, that must have taken some high power Jethro Bodine Russian ciphering and gonkulating to make those props go. Has to make a legacy Hercules look simple.

It's similar to a Coaxial helo transmission, like on a KA-27.

I always figured the Hornet main gear set the standard for "Rube Goldberg" designs.

Have you SEEN an Osprey fold itself up like Stephen Hawking? THAT'S Rube Goldberg...

Only video I could find was it unfolding:
