This squadron is right up the road from where I grew up. I'll throw my packet in even though I am an old dude now (28).

Viper,
It wont let me send you a pm. Are you able to pm me? I am very interested in this opportunity and would like to ask you a question. Thanks in advance! |
I interviewed once with this unit circa '04-'05 time frame. Seemed like a decent unit back then. Worse places to get stuck at than Fort Wayne I suppose.
For the benefit of the youngin's, do you still have commuting radius restrictions as part of the position? That seems very commonplace among units with sought-after/desirable airframes. |
Snickers-
I am part of the hiring process so I'd rather not PM. If you would like to email the address in the application instructions, I think someone will be able to answer your questions. I don't mean to come across as a tool bag, but I don't want it to come across as playing Favorites down the road. As it is, I never check this website. I was just checking today to make sure my post when through. |
Hindsight et al
No commuting radius per se. Once hired, you would move all over the country going through training for approx 2.5 years. After returning from the B-cours (RTU/FTU) you would have 2 years of orders while on "Seasoning Days". During that time it is expected that you live close enough to be at work everyday. After seasoning is complete, your on your own, make your sorties, and be an asset to the squadron.....all we ask. Hope that helps. |
Just curious...is this spot for a Viper or a Hog?

Just want to check: you're not a military rated pilot, correct? (that would change things if you are) |
