New Jersey, actually, but again, who cares?

Rereading the thread. Lots of good, and consistent, advice.

Another timeline consideration -

WAI conference is the first weekend of March. It is *THE* conference to meet ALL the airline's, to include regional's, hiring teams. Throw in the time lag between contact, CJO, and training date and it's months. Four to six months a typical time lag? So that means if you're separating in the spring or summer of 2016 you should have gone to 2015's WAI conference. And then again in 2016. IMO I'd back up 18 months from DOS and start attending job fairs/conferences that fall after that date.

It would also allow you to have a F2F meetings with regional backups. Some offer on the spot interviewing. So you could attend the March 2016 WAI conference, meet with as many majors as possible, and perhaps walk out with several potential CJO's from regionals "call us 90 days prior to separation/retirement" and we'll finalize the process." That would cover the 2016 DOS guys. If I was AD and DOS'ing in spring/summer 2017 I'd attend the 2016 conference. That's when you need to start the process of getting hired.

Guy I was working with took six months to get CJO after 2016 WAI. Top notch candidate. First time attendee. Add in training start date and it's going to be 8-10 months to class date.

Reading through the forums, I'm unclear how one gets face time with a Major during an event like WAI? The WAI has gouge on the "Fast Pass" system, are there other mechanisms/procedures I should be aware of besides that?

Just patience. The Fast/Pass will get you the same amount of FaceTime as not purchasing one, it's simply at what time do you want to see them. There are a TON of messages on this subject, and based on your desires, you could interpret what you want from those messages. Typically, Day 3 has less crowds, which could result in more FaceTime.
