Mil ID KLN and TSA
 

More a vent than anything else. I did not get pre check on either to or from flight this last drill weekend. I had my KTN in my record. The TSA person made a point the pre-check was open but empty and I said I wished I could use it but did not get it on my boarding pass. She stated they are just giving it for free so you get used to it and pay for it. The paid for Pre Check get less random pulls than the purchased ones.

Seriously those that have KTN because they are in the military are more of a threat??????????????????????????:confused::mad:

just buy global entry, problem solved.

That is exactly what they said they are trying to do the more you travel on Mil ID KTN the more you get pulled so you will just buy it.

Not sure what the problem is, i frequently travel on MIL ID KTN, it has always printed on the boarding pass......never had any grief from TSA.

May be the airline you chose? Do they all participate in pre check? Or is it like KCM where some participate and some dont?

A couple of days ago, I traveled from MIA to ATL, positive space, home from recurrent training (on Delta). The gal that checked me in said that there was no KCM at the adjacent security screening portal, so I took a long walk down to the next one. There I found a sign simply stating that KCM was "closed." Only, that portal had no Pre-Check. I walked back to the original portal, and right in front of me, the TSA agent anounced, "After this one, Pre-Check is closed." She made concession for me and a couple of others who were in ear shot.

Later the stories began to hit, about long delays at airports. I can tell you that this is a coordinated effort, from the top down, to ratchet up the pain on the traveling public in advance of the Memorial Day weekend (like escalating gasoline prices). The obvious goal of the bureaucrats is to pour on the pressure for increased budget authority for the TSA. Really shameful, and typical of this administration.

Write to your elected reps in Washington, and ask them to punish, rather than reward, the TSA for this.

Yes. TSA is understaffed and underfunded. They can join the very large, distinguished club of government agencies that are understaffed and underfunded.

Do more with less....it's the gubement way!:D

Probably would have the money if they'd stop giving tax breaks to the Uber wealthy and start taxing Corporations and Churches.

They are not understaffed and underfunded. They are overstaffed and underworked!

This was on American and both ways. I seem to get pulled more on Am than on SWA (contract airlines out of my area) but I would say since Jan probably every third trip I don't get it.
