Dover AFB C-17 Reserve Hiring Qualified Pilot

1 Attachment(s)
The 326th Airlift Squadron located in Dover, DE is looking to hire qualified C-17 pilots. If you are a rated military pilot from another airframe or service branch and interested, we'd love to hear from you as well. We are 1.5 hrs from BWI and PHL and about 3 from the NYC airports. PM me if you are interested and would like further info.

AGR? Sure....we have unicorns and rainbows as well!

With the mass exodus to the airlines unicorns could always be a possibility.

I got out of UPT in '77, Dover Associates were advertising for C-5 pilots, it never stopped at Dover, either.

What are your restrictions for non-C-17 background guys? (e.g. no more than 10 years prior service, no higher than captain, etc.)

Gilligan13 01-27-2017 11:31 AM

Is bumming possible?

Bumming is possible. Our last bum Aircraft commander was recently hired by Delta. There will be plenty of work. For non ACs, there is plenty of work to go around.

For Non-C-17 background bubbas. Looking for airlift background types. Senior Majors and above will not be considered unless they are full up qualifed C-17 IPs/EPs and live in local area (mid-Atlantic)

PM me if you want more details.

Thanks for the interest.

Thanks for the follow-up. The C-17 units on the west coast have roughly the same restrictions, I was wondering if there were opportunities back east.

If there are any airlift guys that got out early enough in your career I'd recommend pursuing this option, it's a good deal.

What's Dover like, I've heard it's rough?

In reference to what?

Gilligan13 02-07-2017 02:57 PM

In terms of living.

Dover itself pretty much blows. You can live down near the beaches or on Maryland's eastern shore. Both are pretty nice.

Is Mike D still at the 326th?

meh I really enjoyed my time in Dover. Still there as a reservist but a commuter. The town of Dover is small but it is growing. Property taxes are stupid cheap, no sales tax, close to a lot...1 hr philly, roughly same to baltimore and DC, 3 to NYC...etc..
