Well, Tech, I am not guilty of any of the 10 reasons, so how can I explain the fact that I am not rich? Maybe eating out (like what I'm going to do right now) a lot is considered a bad habit.

Here you go
3. You Have Bad Habits: Whether it's smoking, drinking, gambling or some other bad habit, the habit is using up a lot of money that could go toward building wealth. Most people don't realize that the cost of their bad habits extends far beyond the immediate cost. Take smoking, for example: It costs a lot more than the pack of cigarettes purchased. It also negatively affects your wealth in the form of higher insurance rates and decreased value of your home.

I have bad habits, it's called flying, motorcycles, a wife.....ok, the last one really sums it up

Default Carelton Sheets

Most people would tell your that those real estate guru's like Carelton Sheets and A.D. Kessler are full of hog wash and are out to steal your money. It is true that it is unlikely to follow their formula exactly and receive the results they promise however they are a cheap way to receive some good information. Each one has a slightly different approach and present new information that is valuable.

My advise is to read them all and use the information that is pertinent to you and your situation and formulate your own real estate strategy. In addition each one usually has a cheap companion book that is usually only a fraction of what they charge for an entire set of tapes and videos and has all the same information.

If you have a dream of becoming a successful real estate investor the road begins with self education. The popular real estate gurus are a good place to start.
