Zillow.com launches home Q&A feature
When it first launched about a year ago, the "zestimates" weren't quite accurate and the functionality minimal at best. However, to its credit, it has continued to evolve and improve. This new feature adds a dimension to the site that meets certain pent up demand and needs.
From Associated Press and KING5:
SEATTLE - Zillow, the online real-estate service, is adding a question-and-answer section where users can ask questions about a particular home and owners can provide information.
Called "Home Q&A," the section allows visitors to the Web site to either ask or answer a question about a home. Users can then rate the answers as "helpful" or "not helpful."
"Today, some of the most colorful and important information about homes and real estate is trapped inside the heads of local experts - agents, homeowners and neighbors," said Zillow president Lloyd Frink in a press release. "By allowing people to freely ask questions and share information online about homes, we hope to unlock, for the community as a whole, a powerful vault of data."
Zillow says about 600,000 people have already updated information about their homes on Zillow.com. The company expects owners and real estate agents to play a larger role.

I use zillow as a barometer to find price trends in a specific area. Accuracy is improving, its nice to get a feel for an area with it. Its a great tool.
