Long term disability for pilots?

Anybody know if Long term disability insurance is available in any form to pilots.

That is if being "disabled" would be considered as a loss of medical.

UPS and many airlines have it set up through the company and/or union. Not sure how it applies to corp guys or independant contractor types.

FDX....60% of last years gross till 60 yrs old...Fedex ALPA program adds about another 30% to it...all in all about 90% pay till 60 years old..BEST IN INDUSTRY BY FAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
