I sold new Hondas for 3 months between jobs once. Hated it! I can't recommend that career. I knew I was not cut out for the job when I sold an Accord for a high price and got a good commission. I felt bad for the guy! I could have goten him a good deal!

At least you work with some great guys. (sure) About 50% of the salesmen had some sort of criminal conviction. Spousal abuse, drug use/dealing, fraud, stuf like that. It was an interesting experience though.

Perhaps it has something to do with the glut of reletively new cars on the used market coupled with the fact that people are realizing that at $3 per gallon in that SUV isn't the most economical choice when you have to put food on the table.

The market has been saturated with 0% financing and "employee pricing" for the past couple years. Probably has something to do with it as well.
