next boom
First it was the dot-coms. Then real estate. Then commodities (oil, gold). Any ideas about what is next? I am sure the movers and shakers in NYC are already moving their money there.

Seriously, I was talking to a friend that works for Morgan Stanley and he says health care and financials will be the next to surge up. Everyone has an opinion, but who knows what will happen. |
The current boom has been short selling financial institutions with lots of bad debt on their books. Next year it may well be buying the survivors for dimes on the dollar.:)
The FDIC has a list of 90 banks on the brink of failure, but they won't share the list because it might alarm the public. |

I kick myself for not buying CAL when it was below $9

More specifically, Mesa stock. |
I think the list of FDIC insured financial institutions "in trouble" is up to 117 this week. FWIW
