Default MBA OR 30,000 job?

Hello,

I need some sound advice for the wise men...... I'm currently unemployed (laid off) and vigorously seeking employment. I'm about half-way through my MBA and have 6 classes left. Well my question is, should I accept a job that has a great deal of career potential, or should I finish my MBA? Even if I do take the job, I will still finish my MBA but it might take a little bit longer. And no, the MBA will not give me a pay increase.

Pros
No Family
Career Growth
Job with benefits

Cons
Leaving School and pre long my graduation (only a year from graduating)
I have to pay out of pocket in order to relocate
The job only pays 30,000, but there's a great deal of opportunity for growth.

(WHAT WOULD YOU DO) Take the job or stay in school?

Take the job, and finish school. Win-win situation. You wont be losing much by prolonging graduation an extra year or two.

Finish school now if money isn't an immediate issue. The economy will turn around eventually.

I'd say finish the MBA. There's usually a 5 year time limit to complete all classes. You may be able to apply for an extenstion like I did for my MBA, took 5 1/2 years to do it part time and I enjoyed it. I also heard DAL likes graduate degrees.

A Dutch Uncle once told me, "don't change jobs until the economy gets better." I guess he meant you will be able to get a better salary, benefits, etc, etc. There was a current article in the paper where they said 50% of employees want to change jobs/companies once the market gets better.

When the economy is slow it is better to "park" in school.

30K is an embarrassment for an MBA student. I made that as an intern my junior year of college.... undergrad.

Finish your MBA.
