Delta has a corporate affinity program with Travelers. I used them for several years without problems. However they kept raising the replacement value of my house (and therefore the premium) beyond reason.

I very recently switched to AMICA. Thus far their customer service has been excellent.
I have always found USAAs CSR awesome to deal with...very happy with USAA

True -- this has unfortunately been a big shift. It also happened to coincide with (or dovetail in to) the housing crash and the subsequent changes to credit and banking in the US. The result has been that USAA isn't simply the one-stop best deal for insurance/banking/investments that it may have been for vets in the past.

The best way to handle this, though, is simply to shop around. The people that get stung by this are the ones who just have "faith" in USAA and do all their insuring and banking there without comparing what's available elsewhere.

Sometimes USAA (and the overall combination of services and rates) is the best option...sometimes it's not.

So far it hasn't degraded far enough to make me seek better deals for insurance.

USAA does an in house assessment every 10 years. We just had one done last year. Folks showed up, took pics, and left.

They came back with $1,000,000 replacement value (well above what I would have guessed). No increase in premium.

Don't know what a credit score has to do with someones driving record especially if the individuals record is clean .
Just another excuse to stick it to the customer as far as I can tell .
