I'm not even going to try to top what the old man posted earlier but what I will say is that a country needs a clear vision in order to progress forward and anything less leads to wandering around aimlessly.
As far as Detroit is concerned I remember seeing that railway station from the highway and was just shocked at the condition that it was in considering what Detroit once was . BTW The Packard is such a beautiful automobile .:) Ally |
What this country needs going forward is for the Federal Govt. to stop subsidizing student loans for degrees that don't help further national interests. A degree in "Language Arts" is all well and good but when the nation needs Electrical Engineers and Fiberoptic Communications Engineers, why are we offering up "free" money for almost any degree under the sun. Student loans will be the next bubble.

Well I bet you and I can but who would listen? :) Nouriel Roubini is predicting a perfect storm of global economic collapse in 2013 that will be much worse than the bubble burst of 2008 that he also predicted. If he is right again all this might be a moot issue. Skyhigh |

If it's all going to be moot Sky, where are you going to find a new forum to dispense all your wisdom? There won't be anybody left to soak in all your "warm and fuzzy" advise.:D
