Default 2nd Job

Currently I am in training with a regional and just wondering what other people have done for second jobs. Hopefully I am not on reserve very long but plan on looking for extra income after a few months and I get a handle on how everything works. There is always line guy opening's which is an option but thought I would see if anyone has some suggestions that might pay better than $10.00/hour. About the only thing that keeps coming into mind are photography and real estate but I don't know the first thing about making money on those. Thanks

Default 2nd Job

Living in base will make it a lot easier to get a second job on reserve. I delivered pizzas way back before my airline days, but I would usually walk out with $80-$100 per night. You just have to find an employer that will be flexible with an airline schedule.

Fueler may actually be a good idea. The 10/hour may seem low, but you will get paid for every hour. The companies are hurting for fuelers, so maybe it will work out.

Try ASIG, they are hurting for fuelers.

I am truly sad reading this... How one has to get another job to do this job. I really hope for a major change or overhaul to this industry...I know, beating a dead horse here. Sigh...

Before I read all the comments I was thinking this. What other profession do you have to get a second job to live a basic life style. This industry is a Joke. Anyone wanting to become a pilot and reading this think about it. You are a professional pilot and have to get a second job.

High school teacher. With a masters in education my dad still sold suits for 30 years after school, 14 hour work days to provide for a family, granted a large one.
