Well I finally pulled the trigger on a refi. I think I may have locked in at the bottom (That’s my hope). I was following rates at several credit unions and websites. I have always been a big advocate for Penfed and Navy Federal credit unions. I also decided to give Jonathan Kulak a call based on the reviews on this site. To make a long story short, Jon blew the competition away. I locked a Super Jumbo 30 year fixed rate at 2.75% with a $555 buydown and ZERO origination.

Jonathan and his team ‘s communication was exceptional. He has set a whole new standard (Keep in mind that I have been through this process on four different occasions with other lenders).

All I can say is I highly endorse Trident in every way. Thanks for knocking it out of the park Jon!

If you are in the market for a mortgage I suggest you call him. I posted his contact information below.

Just closed a refinance with Dave Devine in NBKC. Gave me 2.75% fixed on a VA 30, loan cost was about $600. He is licensed in all 50 states, he understands pilot income too. He was awesome to work with! Very responsive and helpful.

They love to try to use a 24 month variable income average which isn't accurate at all based on our CBAs. HR at most airlines also doesn't do a good job with the verification of employment documentation either which makes the problem worse. Being airline pilots and doing loans for thousands of pilots over the last 13yrs is what makes us different. We appreciate you trusting us with such a big purchase! Let me know if you need anything in the future.

I just want to echo my positive experience with Jon. Just called to see if he could consult me on some of the nuances (as an airline pilot) of getting underwriter approval. I was led to this forum via a google search, called Jon, and he immediately called back and lent his expertise. I would definitely recommend him!

It's just one of those things. Sometime you just beat the line, and other times, you get there after it has formed.

I am a mortgage broker/pilot/veteran based in Texas. If anyone is looking to purchase or refi give me a ring or search my site. I think you will find we are amongst the most competitive in the nation with our pricing and definitely amongst the leaders in our service and speed. Thanks.

Just locked in 0.0%. Feels good.

Company threatens to furlough me again....F U , no concessions. Paycheck is nice but we can survive on our feet without it.

Default Best refi ever

Listen I can bore you with the details, but at the end money, time, and an easy process is what matters. I looked at three different companies and ended up going with Luis Terrazas from Trident loans. He is a pilot for Delta Air Lines. Their fees could not be beat, closed in record time, and they speak “pilot lingo”. In other words they are super friendly to those in the aviation industry. That’s it carry on! If you want practically and hands off process Luis is the man for the job.
