The car (a Jeep Wrangler) was a temporary crash pad vehicle. I never received any notice of a legal preceding. Instead, I got a notice from the chief pilot's office that my paycheck was being garnished.

There is federal protection from garnishment/levy orders for certain type of funds, (i.e. SSA Retirement, Pensions, Disability etc.

Most States have a "due process protection" that can be invoked once the garnishment or levy order is signed/ordered, (but you have to act quickly).

Most run-of-the-mill Attorneys know very little about civil garnishments/levy orders and their related forensic financial matters along with the pertinent civil Federal and State due process clauses and attached protections.
