NetJets Hiring Process
#1051
Recently I met a NJA new hire who is 23 years young. Did his flight schooling in a Part 61 environment while doing E-RAU online. End of the day he his working for a good company, typed in a Latitude, building a wealth of experience, has his degree and making coin.
Point? He's young and has many options ahead while having fun gaining aviation knowledge. So for those on the fence about applying then just apply and see where it takes you.

How does it work with you guys on the longer 3+ hour legs in terms of comfort and physiological needs? Can you guys use the lav on board the planes without shame or are you using a pee bottle like I currently am in the Nextant? Is there any “crew rest” area on board?

The sporty little Phenom has a lav, but you gotta be a gymnast to use the dare thing. The rest of the planes have nice areas to relieve yourself and to clean as well. Part of what we sign up for.

Only "crew rest area" a new hire will see is the hotel room or the recliner in a crew lounge. Seriously, you need not worry about any crew rest area for years; as the planes with bunk areas are very senior for the FO's.

An unfortunate fact in the Phenom is a full boat of seven - the lav isn't accessible to the crew anymore (7th seat is the lav). Thankfully, that is rare and the leg is short when it does happen.

I hope they finally got the lav privacy doors fixed. Back in 2015 or so they were a Rube Goldberg nightmare. Jamming and breaking all the time. I had to go back and rescue a pax more than once.
I'm trying to think if we ever filled all 7 pax seats, maybe 2 or 3 times in several years of flying the Phenom. Can't take a whole lot of fuel with 9 total souls on board. You're also pressing against the max zero fuel weight if I remember correctly.

Hey I am going to the next class, starting on Monday, I live about a 6hr drive from CMH. For my last job I was driving more than that distance twice a week, so to me it feels like an easy trip, especially for 12 days. My last job was also a bit ragtag, and I realize I’m now in the big leagues. Should I drive my own vehicle to Columbus, or is it a faux pas? Do they reimburse mileage if you don’t use a flight/rental car? I don’t want to look like a jerk on day 1 but I’m a pilot so I’m automatically a jerk, right? Also there is a WN direct flight
