Your height isn’t the only thing that matters. Leg length has a lot to do with it. I have flown with guys that are 6’2” or so. Fill out the paperwork they give you. If you get assigned it you can ask for a fit test.

Then what's the point of the assigner being a union rep? If it's just a judgment call, what is the connection between initial assignment and the CBA?

Not sure what your question is. There is no connection between initial assignment and CBA. I don’t know if the company asked him or if he volunteered to help with assignments.

Hopefully things have changed in training. Hopefully he’s gone on to better things…

I would concur with the probie. Thankfully I was already well versed in 135/OpSpecs/GOMs/etc when I attended. That made learning the differences with 91k/MSpecs an easy transition. I went through in '21, so there's a chance it is different than my experience. Honestly, if it has remained the same, I hate thinking about those having to go through with no background in 135 trying to figure it all out!

You pay for your own ATP-CTP and;
a training program that is designed to bring someone with prior multi turbine experience up to speed on the the NetJets way. I believe most fleets are 7 sims and then the type ride.

You’ll get to enjoy the experience of having them in the seat next to you soon, if you haven’t already.

Not sure which thread to ask this in. I have a 5/1 class date with NJA. I’m coming from a 141 training background and instructing career. As a result I think I have a fine understanding of PT.91 rules but admittedly lacking knowledge of 135 rules. It’s very possible this is a terrible question but during training will there be any focus on part 135 regulations, or will it be more focused on company SOPs/OPSPECS? Does anyone have any recommendations for study resources for the 135 side of the regs? Besides just actually reading though part 135.
There will be little to none of that covered.. You can find it out on the job.
Compared to my other 121 ground school where you needed to know the difference between prob 30 and tempo and derived alt minimums.. yummy. Exemption 3946969 or whatever.
