Thanks in advance.
I wish. If it were, I would probably bid it.

Many of us would LOVE to able to bid an 8 on, 6 off or 6 on 8 off schedule instead of these retarded 72 and 76 CC schedules. A very nice, predictable 14 day cycle to plan your life around with the ability to work a little more or a little less if you like. But the union leadership makes up all kinds of excuses of why it can’t happen.

On the 72 or 76 CC schedule your days off pattern bounces all over the place with very limited ability to influence it.

Can you grab the 52-day schedule right out of training? Or is there some time limit before you can do that?

The 52 day schedule goes very senior. Only 10% are allowed to have that schedule.

But this forum is correct when it says you can get the 7/7 as a new hire?

As soon as you complete your IOE, you’ll be able to request a 7-7 schedule. Depending on when you finish training, you might have to wait a few months but you’ll get 7-7 fairly quickly.

Depends on fleet but Fatty Lati had Tuesday, Wed and Saturday 7/7 available in April.

For an SIC I can see it happen on occasion but not often.

The CC52 started went junior due to the start of flight duty pay. SICs moved to schedules with more days and longer tours. ($$$) In a few weeks we will see if that is the new norm or a short lived trend.

What does a typical 52 day schedule look like?
