Well,
It IS public transit. There is stress around but earphones and music can shield one from the brunt of most of it.
A better description of “commuting stress free” on NetJets is knowing you have a seat, you’re going and there’s no asking for a junk seat or relying on an open seat.

That’s fine an dandy but I clearly indicated it’s based on same amount of work days. On a CC76 that’s 18 a month vs min of 15 a month off at WN. So I chose a 7/7 as that’s 15.5 a month.
If you don’t want to commute and do not live in a base city for an airline NJ is an alright place. It will never pay anywhere near what a major pays but if the value of no commute is worth it, then go for it!
BTW the last comment ....wow it reeks of privilege....

He won't have time, he is too busy extending to 26 days a month of work so he can brag about almost making airline salaries on APC.

Premium is harder to acquire, that is for sure. It’s alright though, it’s been an incredible summer here in CA. Waves have been tasty and the mountains have been ripe for the shredding. The extra time at home has actually been the best part of the MAX grounding, with premium paying so much it’s hard to say no to it, with little to no premium it’s all about enjoying life and enjoying the fruits of ones labor.

I don’t wish that on anyone BUT, it’s proof that this business is full of unknowns and choices.
Live with them and let others do the same is a great credo. I’d join you for a few sets anytime of you have a wetsuit man. It’s been a little bit since I enjoyed some cold water fun in the seaweed.

So SWA pilots are all working on surfing instead of their retirement accounts and other bills this year?
😬

Thanks for worrying about what pilots at WN do, but I can assure you I am doing just fine. (Can not speak for other WN pilots) What other airline can down 34 planes for 6 months and still make a profit? What other airline can do that without the f word coming out?
Do what ya want, I don’t care, in fact most people don’t BUT keep it real and honest. NJ pilots do not “shatter” major pay rates. They just don’t. If you are fine with it, go be free and enjoy. There are enough things about NJ that you can be proud of that are honest.
In the mean time I got a few wet suits and some boards....let me know.

Hey brah, you seem to be a little angry. Relax enjoy life, it’s too short to do otherwise.

Many of us are pretty proud to be here and have choice of making good money or having lots of time off.
Neither used to be an option. NetJets and it’s pilot group have come a long way.
I hope the Max gets back in the air, but I have too many friends at LUV than to believe your position that 40 jets not being on property isn’t having an adverse affect on the financial realities of SWA pilots. It absolutely sucks that the desire of corporate to get “just one more 737” has blown up in the face of 3 us airlines and literally blown 350 people off the face of the planet. Max never should have flown as it did, with an undisclosed system that pilots must fight. Gary Kelly is fun to watch play the part of the victim. No wonder he wants to share the Boeing damages payouts with employees. 🤫
I guess it’s a good thing the former Boeing CP is now at SWA and has pled the 5th in regards to FAA/NTSB inquiries over documents and knowledge of Max. I bet SWA and Gary would find themselves in equally hot water.
Makes one wonder.
