CC76 year 17, yes they have a year 17 pay rate, is 244938. That is still a 22% premium required to get to 300K.

Oh and by the way a CC72/76 is working hard.

Everything that flies right now is making a ton of money. Be that some Mom/Pop charter outfit all the way to United, everyone is making money, everyone is expanding...

Like the other dude said, NOBODY who has left NJ has EVER mentioned they wish they could go back. That goes from the guy who left to join a flight school in SoCal (yes that happened) to the guys that went to Cathy, nobody has EVER wished to go back. That should tell you everything you need to know..

Good luck brah, remember snow board season is just around the corner, just pulled mine out of the locker....
The premium above base pay to get the numbers is really available. It is just earning it with tons of extended days and FDP pay. The FDP + night pay in the 350, Lattitude, and Phenom is going to average close 20K and another 10K into the 401K. There was also a one time bonus between 23 and 30K for captains this year that will lower the amount of pikots bringing 300K next year. If a pilot is making that money at NJA they will be doing their snowboarding on vacations and rarely on regular days off like you or others at airlines making good money without working nearly as hard or as many days.

Mmm mmmmm MMMMMMM that Flav-or-Ade tastes GOOD!

Rather than point by point, let's just say that it ain't all peaches and cream, some fleets make more, some a LOT less, NOBODY with a healthy home life is going to make $400 large, a lot of hotels still suck, a lot of screen readers still ignore you, the schedulers still hate you, and a third of our customers are one market correction away from Delta Comfort.

It's a JOB. And on some days, not a particularly fun one despite BuBu's promise to make it fun again.

We're at about 2450. Which is down 400 or so since 2015.

With growth spurring more hiring next year.

If we don’t hire 200 next year, I’ll be very surprised.

It seems many make the decision to depart the pattern voluntarily after the retirement “true up”.

What growth? Our hiring for the last 18 months has been below the departure rate which is why our pilot list continues to shrink. I don't expect much change on that score.

That was a direct result of the 2018 Amended agreement and was one of the many company goals of that negotiation, just like the 2015 contract was intended to shrink body count.

We have a handful more airplanes on property than a year ago since all the new arrivals have been offset by the shutdown of the Falcon and the drawdown of the X and the Excel. We are one economic hiccup or devastating election result away from fleet shrinkage.

Pilots have no control over how much they fly in a tour. A pilots simple can’t choose between flying more or QOL. Extended days are base on approval. At NetJets, the only thing you have real control over is calling fatigue. Don’t get me wrong. It’s not the worst job. Actually it’s a very decent job. But Retractable shameless telling ppl that NetJets Captains making over 300k without breaking a sweat is just straight up lies. Netjets is better than other fractionals/regional and below the Ultra low cost airline. How long is this current contract? Another 8 years? The big 3 is currently in contract negotiations and southwest open theirs in March 2020.

Why the hell would they need to hire more when they have people like you working 29 days a month?

If (a big IF) the company continues to take airplanes while slowly disposing and inches up to 500 airplanes, they will have to hire since they cannot go below 5 per airframe and have stated they want to try 5.2 per airplane for a while. We are almost there and there are people leaving for one reason or another every month. They very well may need to hire 200 next year. This is one of the things I can actually agree with as long as that many airplanes actually come on property.

John, $300k in small cabin is definitely doable, but to imply easy? Common man!! $300k small cabin implies working CC76 (19 days a month) PLUS another 3-4, plus never calling fatigued, plus selling back sick days plus working most holidays plus making big $$ with FDP. Again, doable, but I don’t know many people who want to work like this.

That is true on a tour-by-tour basis for sure; however, these things tend to average out over the course of a year. My yearly average on my last fleet rarely changed more than 10 hours per year. A pilot can, however, bid a fleet known to fly more or a fleet known to fly less. They can also bid on their maximum tour length of 5, 6, 7, or 8 days depending on their schedule and base. Longer tours, of course, will provide more opportunity to make FDP pay. Meanwhile, shorter tours provide more opportunities for first-day overtime (which can be rather substantial) and after-midnights (which are rather substantial). So there are definitely things pilots can do to mold the job to their needs. At the end of the day, it is unscheduled flying with the benefit of knowing what days you work and what you don't. If you must know which city pairs you'll be flying or must have your overnight location set in stone, then this job wouldn't be for you.

Current contract is the same term as the last one; 5 + 3. The last contract made it 3 years before being amended, and we do have yearly adjustments to the pay scale and FDP pay. Have at it with the comparisons you feel like making - I just want to provide facts on what the current situation is.
