Default Netjets Aircraft

Hello, I know they are currently hiring for multiple aircraft. Not sure if they are currently asking for preference if more than one aircraft is available to the group? I read on here that at one point they had pilots fill out a wish list. Does anyone have any info on this for pilots that will be going to indoc this summer? Is it correct that new FOs could be assigned to Challenger 350, longitude, Citation XLS, Sovereign, Latitude, and Phenom? Would Globals and Challenger 650 only be for experienced pilots? I would be happy to fly any aircraft but would like to be prepared if I may get a choice. I would like to know differences in routing and what the different aircraft are like to fly and work in. Thank you very much for any information.

You will not get a choice. They will put you where they need. You cannot be given 650 or global as a new hire per the contract. However they are junior manning or waiving seat locks to fill 650 and global sic slots. Many sics are being moved to the 650 or global after one year on property regardless if they want it or not.

Please. For the love of all that is holy. DON''T come to Netjets. Go to a regional or a national airline and then a major. Your family will thank you. Your investment advisor will thank you. Your mental health provider will thank you.

You have to have three screws loose to come to Nutjets right now.

The “wish list” you heard of is the crew food menu. I’m 3/3 this tour, getting at least one deviation. Let’s see how the next two days go.

Why aren't you taking your own advice?

There is a certain amount of pilots at NJA who have too few years of working life ahead of them so they can’t leave. I know GWD and he is not wrong. I left after 16.5 years and it has been the best life improvement I ever had.

TM602 is exactly correct. Bad career timing left me stuck with the NJ poo show. Not enough career runway left to benefit from the easiest airline hiring environment in history. That's my issue to fix and I'm working on it.

But in my view, anyone under 50-55 should be looking HARD to get out and anyone considering coming here right now isn't paying attention.

Very well stated. Netjets has a lot of 50+ year olds. They have to ride it out. And come January of next year, things will only get worse with the dozens of 70+ year olds that will be forced out. Paying money is simply not enough, the “new” generation wants QOL as well. NJ will have to evaluate the business model if the need for extra pilots due to say 10 hour day limitation, 12-13 day months will need to become the norm.

Now is not the time to come to NetJets. Go around.

Nobody is answering your question, so I will. They are hiring into all fleets except the Globals and the Challenger 650. They were handing out a “wish list” form as of earlier this year although I don’t know if that is still the case currently.

I “wished” for a particular plane and was assigned that fleet. Your mileage may vary!
