Nothing like seeing that horrific tie, and wanting to make a face mask out of it...

Management has indicated to Union leadership the potential to start hiring again in the fourth quarter of this year. The GLC side of the operation is still suffering but demand is coming back strongly in the small and mid cabin flying.

Oh, and we’re getting SSBJs!

I am still trying to get BJs worked into my contract. How do you plan to deal with the friction and potential shaft scarring?

Do you have to wait until the 4th qtr to apply, or are applications accepted continuously?

As of this moment the application wimdow is not open. If you would like to get an email the moment they open the window you can create a notification at https://careers.netjets.com/. Set up an account and use the keyword "SIC."

I hoe this helps you and/or everyone else out.

Here's a question for y'all. how's the payscale over a career at NJ over say a southwest or alaska in terms of payscale?

Most likely Southwest will earn considerably more without much effort, unless the NetJets pilot works for a lot longer without the mandatory retirement. Alaska would probably pay more also, unless the NetJets pilot spent their career working the busier schedules and maybe worked past 65. NetJets will probably beat them both the first year and there is considerable money available now, but a career at NetJets will be a career spent working a lot harder and probably a lot more days to make anywhere close to similar money. I am happy at NetJets, but if I were younger and starting a career, I'd be trying for Southwest, Alaska, and then NetJets in that order.

Hopefully a 2-3 year NJ FO can chime in with earnings numbers under the new contract to answer this.

There will be a wide range of numbers for any year of service at NetJets. A pilot can prefer QOL and perhaps get the 52 day or 7&7 schedule. Most likely still making over 100K on either of those schedules in the second or third year. I wouldn't be shocked if some pull 150K in their second or third year if they do the 76 day schedule, get some extended days, work a lot of holidays, and do a lot of flying to get the FDP. That said, they are earning every one of those dollars and working a lot harder than they would be at the airlines. There can easily be a 50K swing depending on what fleet and schedule and luck of the draw on flying a lot for FDP.
