I interviewed back in the second week in April. When we were sitting around in between the sim eval and the interview, Derinda (the head HR hiring person) checked on the computer and it was running 27 months from IOE to a Captain bid award. I assume that will slow some, I start indoc in June and I'm guessing at least three years before I'll be able to upgrade. Hope this helps...

We have just over 2600 pilots now and current upgrades are going in the low 1800 seniority numbers (about two and a half years with company). So unless some of the older guys call it quits and retire you will be an FO for quite a few years, you would have a seniority number in the 2600 range and the company wants a 60/40 capt to fo ratio, so we'd need over 4000 pilots for your upgrade award, years away.

Looking at the JB pay scale, 10 year capt on the e190 is only 80k, if hired today at NJA you would make captain at around the 5 year mark (guessing) and the base pay would be 109K on 18 day schedule, or 92K on the 7 day sched (count on 10% over base easy) and you will get three 3 week vacations a year at NJA.

Just hung out with my buddy at LGB yesterday in the Sovereign, all day! He was on hot standby the entire day! LOL The captain was way cool and even gave me some ground school on the sovereign on the ramp. (sorry, had to share this!) Anyway, I got a lot of information on Netjets from him and the captain. My buddy is looking at an upgrade in the next 2-3 years and he has been there a year already. And I might add that I haven't met a single person who doesn't love their job at Netjets. I can't wait to get there!
