NetJets gets highest rating in BJT Survey

Business Jet Traveler’s ninth annual Readers’ Choice Survey:

NetJets received the highest ratings for overall satisfaction among fractional-share providers, as well as among charter, jet card, and membership-club providers. Pilatus Aircraft scored highest for overall satisfaction among airplane manufacturers, while Robinson earned that distinction among helicopter companies.

Good for NetJets but I don't think these surveys carry much weight. NetJets is just the best known name in privat aviation. That alone goes a long way towards winning such a reward.

But this survey is from biz jet fliers. They know the players and they know who is the best. So congratulations to Netjets.

They know who is the best? How? From having flown with everyone? I doubt it.

Also, has it been ensured that only actual biz jet passengers have taken part in the survey. Or could it have been pretty much anyone that spends time at an FBO?

Hey, not saying NetJets isn't the best. It may well be. But this award reminds me of car magazine readers voting for best sports car 2019 when 99% of those who vote won't have drive any of the contenders, lt alone all of them.

I think most owners are really happy as they do not leave them stranded ever. Unfortunately ifs not such a great place to work. They give you sick days and if you use them you'll get a call, they tell you to not fly fatigued but if you call fatigue you'll get a call. And a lot of sitting in FBO's for 10-12 hours.

Do you or have you worked at NetJets? Where did you get this information?

None of that ever happened to me and I called in fatigued once or twice a month, usually because of schedule shifts from late show to early show. I rarely used sick time, but when I did it was for several weeks after a medication change (FAA requirement).
And I very rarely sat in an FBO on TNTV or Hot Spare for more than a few hours. When I did I didn't mind as long as I had Internet, my laptop, or my e-book reader. No problem keeping myself entertained.

I sat in FBOs a bunch. I hated that crap. But I fatigued almost once a tour and never heard a word.

If you called in sick on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Superbowl Sunday in your first year, you are surely going to get fired. That's called a pattern. Any employer would ask you to resign with similar behavior. This isn't a military/government job where you can milk the system you're entire career because it's extremely hard to fire problem children. Budgets and profits matter in the private sector.

I had an FO no-show on me his first day off IOE because he got his schedule wrong. He called and apologized profusely. Flew with him recently. He's off probation now and all is good.

Another recent FO called in sick the entire first week of IOE for true sickness. Just got off probation, no worries.

Your story doesn't pass the smell test. Telling it on public forums can't help your future job prospects.

I called in sick on probation, I also fatigued once (captains would fatigue for me which was cool of them). Never had an issue on probation.
