NetJets to hire 100 pilots by end of 2021

PSA for those interested, it shouldn’t need to be said. Wear a dark suit, white shirt and tie to the virtual and in person interviews. The standard pilot interview uniform. Initial impressions mean something. That would be a bad reason to not get hired.

I have the shirt dry cleaned and ready to go. Anyone know how fast they are sending out initial email invites for phone interview?

So, light blue or light grey and you don’t get hired?

I think Mr Williams is saying that if you show up for the interview looking anything other than polished and professional, your chances of getting hired are greatly diminished. I wore a shirt and tie for the Skype interview and a conservative dark blue business suite with a white shirt and tie, similar to the NetJets uniform for the in person.
One of the guys I interviewed with with wore a bright blue suit but it looked sharp on him. He got hired.
Obviously dark shoes, clean and polished, hair and nails groomed and personal hygiene in check.
NetJets are big on image. You'll be representing the company. If you can't be bothered to put the effort in for the interview you're probably not going to put the effort in out on the line either.

Any conservative suit will work, however you cannot go wrong with a dark suit, white shirt and red tie. They are judging your appearance and deciding if they want to put you in front of their clients. If you want to live outside of the box with what you wear and it comes down to the benefit of the doubt you may not get the job offer.

You’re 100% correct and Mr. William PSA is spot on.
Had a few buddies helping with the NJ pilot hiring a couple years ago. You would not believe what people would wear to a NetJets interview. Some candidates looked at NJ as if we were a desperate mom and pop charter outfit willing to hire anyone with a pulse. Some people honestly thought they just had to show up and the job was theirs. It was a learning lesson for all.

Ok. Just seemed like it needed clarification. Those statements seem to snowball into everyone wearing the same thing. Because, they believe that is the key to getting hired. For example, interviewees at a certain airline at one point.
If you carry yourself well in appearance and manner, suit or tie color shouldn’t matter, IMO. Dumb and dumber style excluded, of course.
although two things are true.
You’re a lot closer to Netjets hiring than I. And, pilots are, in general, are bad dressers.
