I believe pilots were supplied with some simplified call outs at least a day before the sim eval and if they are not done well, even with the flying itself done perfectly, that would be a possible reason. Hopefully you will get another chance in 6 months.

Thats pretty odd. In the packet they say it’s perfectly acceptable to use their callouts and the callouts that you use at your current job. No worries though!

Back when I was hired at NJ in 07 my sim partner flew the sim perfect. His callouts and overall command of what he was doing and what he wanted me to do as a non flying partner were poor. Not saying that’s what you did but there’s way more to a sim eval than nailing your steep turn, hold and ILS. He didn’t get the job.

A guy I was hired with at NJA in 2005 almost washed out of training despite having numerous hours of single pilot time in the Citation Ultra. His problem was with a crew concept and doing very strict SOP's.
It was probably something other than the actual Sim flying that caused the problem. When I did the Sim test in 2005 I used my PM to the max. But then I've always been lazy

They told you specifically that it was because of the sim eval? I thought they didn't disclose the reason for a TBNT.

She specifically said it was because of the sim. I asked what happened, but they wouldn’t elaborate. It wasn’t a TBNT … just a straight up NO because of the sim. I know I’m not perfect, but damn…

For everyone else, this wasn’t my first corporate/135 or anything regarding CRM. My PM did everything I asked.

I did the phone interview a few weeks ago, but was unable to make last weeks expo due to a work conflict. No problem they said, we’ll put you on the list for September. This morning an email saying thanks but your qualifications don’t match our needs, etc. Oh well.
