Default NJ Schedules

Hello guys!

Wanted to ask, as far as schedules go, what are the chances of getting the CC 60 or CC 52 schedules right after training?

And what would a typical tour look like for those two options?

Thanks in advance!!

CC 60 chances are fairly good. CC52, not good at all. There are very few CC52 bids awarded so you have to be pretty senior in seat/fleet to get the 52.

Typical tour for the CC60 is a lucky guess at best. The rules are: 1) For every day you work you get at least half those days off rounded up (if you worked 7 days then you are guaranteed 4 days off). 2) you will not be scheduled to work over 7 days unless you volunteer for it. 3) For the CC60, you will be scheduled to work 60 days in a four month period. Think 7 days on, 4 days off, 6 days on, 5 days off, and so on...it can manifest itself in many different varieties.
Given those rules there are numerous ways to tailor your schedule once its awarded. You can slide your tour forward or backwards a few days. You can request to have your schedule built around having a certain day(s) off. You can PTO days off of a tour if you need to be home for something special...

You probably already know but in case someone reads this that doesn't understand, the 7/7 and 60 day basically work the same number of days. The two schedules just arrange the work days differently.

Thanks guys! I appreciate your responses.

So with the CC 60, would shorter tours be possible?

And let’s say there’s an important life event in the middle of a scheduled tour, would it be possible to work the schedule in a way that you can be home for that?

Just trying to see the difference in adjustability and flexibility each type of schedule has.

Thanks again!

It is possible to get all 5 day tours, but that requires living in one of the busiest bases and seniority. You can request a tour slide or use PTO days to get days off after the schedules have been published. You can request days off on the preferential bid choices.

Oh ok I see.

So when you say we can request a tour slide, or PTO, or days off on the prefrential bidding sched, how likely is it for you to get them?

Is it fairly easy to get those, or is it basically a no until you’re very senior?

Thanks again.

Slides are not by seniority- probably a little under 50% chance of getting your slide. The first round of PTO after the schedules are out are by seniority (don't plan on successful PTOs around holidays, but other days are random and much more likely even by seniority). Then there are PTOs the month of the schedule and those are not by seniority. I am not sure how likely they are to be honored.

I will add that NetJets is big on communication. If you have a big event coming up and it falls in the middle of a trip let them know. Obviously the farther in advance the better. The company will work with you. For example, a new hire had a cruise planned and paid for around the time he would start IOE. From day one of Indoc he told the company about it and it is was worked out so that he enjoyed his cruise.

Just a quick update. Of the 4 new hires currently in class, 3 were awarded the XLS. 1 was awarded the Phenom. Moving forward new hires can expect the Phenom, XLS or possibly the Sovereign.

Any idea when the next class starts? Will that class be made up of people from last year or from recent interviews?
